Before Selecting a Tee Time
Sign-in or create an account to book a tee time (select the ‘Login/Register’ button on page) – Once created, you will always be able to book a tee time with ease.
Click the button below that says book a tee time. A new window will open.
Use the menu icon in the topic left corner to select the parameters of your desired tee time.
Click search to filter to your desired results.
Select the tee time you prefer.
Make your reservation.
Cancellation Policy
Your tee time reservation is non-refundable within 12 hours of your schedule tee time, but can be transferred, should you want to send others in your place. Last minute cancellations and no-shows are very damaging to the financial security of Golf Courses and we want to do everything we can to keep our staff employed, financially secure and safe.
Cancellations prior to 24 hours of your tee time can be issued a rain check or full refund.
Cancellations from 24 to 12 hours prior to your scheduled tee time will be issued a rain check.
Cancellations inside of 12 hours, or a no show of your tee time will receive no refund or rain check.
In case of inclement weather, rain checks will be available at golf course discretion.

Tee Time Rules and Regulations
We take tee times up to two weeks in advance. If you are looking to book a tee time farther out for a larger group, please contact our Pro Shop staff by phone at (906) 487-2641 or email at golfcourse@mtu.edu to discuss booking an advanced tee time.
All guests are required to present a valid driver’s license to operate golf carts. In order to operate a golf cart, a person must be 16 years old or older and have a valid driver’s license. Anyone under 18 years old who is operating a cart must be in the presence of someone 18 years or older. Additionally, no one under the age of 18 can have a passenger under the age of 18 in their cart.
- All UPGA member must present their membership card upon check in, to receive the UPGA rate.
- Metal spikes are prohibited.
No outside food or beverage is permitted on site at Portage Lake Golf Course. Par and Grill will accommodate your food and beverage needs. You are able to purchase snacks, sandwiches and beverages from here prior to tee off and as you make the turn. Additionally, we offer a beverage cart that you will see throughout your round, for any snack or beverage needs.
Groups of less than 4 players will be paired with others.
